My last Dragon Quest post (I promise!)

I wrote the following haiku at the same time I wrote this one, but I didn't post it because I thought it was a bit too rhyme-y.

Bright eyes, brighter grin
Red, blue and metallic skin
Beating you? A sin

Why am I posting it now? Honestly, I wanted an excuse to share the following image, which I found on tinycartridge.com a few weeks ago.


I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't know if the slime sprites were pulled from actual Dragon Quest titles or if they were produced specifically for this image.

    Awww...really? The last one? I was enjoying them. :-P I feel like those are all legit slimes. I've seen a lot of them somewhere, although asking me where would just net you a blank stare.

    RE: this being the last DQ post -- it won't be the last *ever*. More like the last of this week :)

    RE: the slimes -- I want to play whichever game features the angel slimes and the slimes that look like melting scoops of ice cream (with crowns on their heads, of course).

    They're like King Liquid Slimes...

    Have you played Rocket Slime for DS? I loved it. And it features a cute li'l slime as the hero.

    Oh, and before I forget, I found my first level 20 map, and when I went to it and beat it, I got a level 1 map. BOGUS!

    King Liquid Slimes? OMG! I wonder if they can be found in DQIX?

    Sorry to hear about your bogus grotto drop. Just go back and beat the boss again -- I'll bet you'll get a better drop next time...
