Of course, that would require both the existence and purchase of such a system.
Surprisingly, the former point of contention is about to be taken care of thanks to ... some company that isn't Sega. Said company's portable Dreamcast (below) will be sold via pachimon.tv beginning next month. The system's price tag: ¥38,000 (about $470).
As much as I'd love to play Space Channel 5 and ChuChu Rocket! during my next flight or road trip, I think I'll hang on to my hard-earned money and play games on my DS instead.

Haha, I just played Space Channel 5 minutes ago. :D A portable dreamcast sounds sweet indeed, but the price tag does not.

ReplyDeleteIt looks very nice, and I love portable gaming and all, but yeah, I think I'll be passing on this as well. We may end up getting some Dreamcast classics ported over to the 3DS or the next PSP anyway, so I'd feel kind of bad about spending this kind of money if that happened!

ReplyDeleteI wasn't being serious about wanting it, Kamiwoo, though I do think it's kind of cool. If I was going to blow that kind of money (or more) it would be for a PC Engine LT and nothing else!
