Nothing gets between me and my Rhythm Heaven Fever t-shirt

Blogger--and occasional commenter on The Gay Gamer--Mark Ayala was lucky enough to attend the Rhythm Heaven Fever launch party held in Los Angeles exactly a month ago.

While at said event, Ayala picked up a Rhythm Heaven Fever t-shirt for yours truly. Although he passed it off to the able men and women of the United States Postal Service the very next day, and it arrived on my doorstep just a few days after that, I wasn't able to take a photo of it or write about it until yesterday.

Sadly, it's still winter here in Seattle, and most of you likely know what that means: It's dark and rainy here most of the time, which means pulling off well-lit photos often is a hit-or-miss affair.

If you'd like to take a closer look at the adorable design that's splashed across the chest of the t-shirt above--and features a monkey, a rocket and a jumping ... something or other--check out this Bitmob article about the Rhythm Heaven Fever soiree.

  1. CUTE! Can't wait for you to model it for us.

  2. You know, Justin, that was my first idea (to model it) but I decided against it at the last minute. Not sure why, although it probably had to do with the shirt being a bit bigger than I'd usually wear. Maybe I'll snap a shot sometime soon and see how it looks.

Anyway, are you still enjoying the game? Or has Skyrim attracted all of your attention?

  3. Eh...Skyrim has sort of eaten my life...but then I started playing InFamous, which is so stinking fun! So...I think I'll finish that before I play much more Skyrim. Also, the Skyrim wind was taken out of my sails when I read about the PS3 version bug that causes your game to crash when your save file gets to a certain size...I think that's been mostly fixed, but I'm not 100% sure about it...so I kind of stopped playing it for now. I'll get back to it, I'm sure.

  4. Wow, you're really rolling in the PS3 games right now, eh? That's great to hear :) Are you happy with the system overall? Also, did you get the message I sent you via Facebook (about recommended PS3 games)? Sorry I took so long to send it to you!

  5. Such is the life of a famous blogger! You get awesome swag from your friends ;)

I have to say I'm very jealous! And what a cute design. If it's a bit big, maybe you can modify it a bit to fit better?

Have you had any time to play Rhythm Heaven Fever yet? I definitely want to hear what you think! It's pretty much a must buy for me, but I'm still interested to hear how you think it compares to the others in the series.

Oh, and I see you've updated your "now playing" to include Corpse Party! Have you started it yet? I can't wait to hear what you think about that, too!

  6. Hello, Anne! Ah, yes, I'm definitely a famous blogger, aren't I? :P You're right, though, when you say that I've gotten some great stuff from the folks who read this blog.

As for modifying the shirt: I wouldn't even know where to start, to tell you the truth. That's OK, though, as I'm fine leaving it as is. I'll probably use it as my go-to lounging-around-the-house-on-Sunday shirt :)

I haven't yet played Rhythm Heaven Fever, sadly. It arrived the day David and I flew to Madison to be with my parents, and we just got back to Seattle yesterday (OK, late Saturday night). I'm planning to give it a go this week or this weekend, though, and once I've done that I'll be sure to write up a post about it.

Finally, about Corpse Party: I actually bought it right before we got on the plane (to fly to Madison). I've yet to play it, though :( Again, I'm planning to rectify that later this week or this weekend...

  8. Oh, I'll be playing the game and sharing my thoughts oo, Kevin -- don't you worry about that!

Have you played the game, by the way? If so, what do you think about it?
