'What an awesome crotch'

A few days ago, I happened across the following illustration thanks to Tumblr user dizzybone (proprietor of the tumblog known as the laboratory).

The drawing caught my attention for two reasons: 1) it features the flame-haired protagonist of a rather awesome Mega CD/PC Engine/Super Famicom action-adventure game called Popful Mail, and 2) when the aforementioned tumblogger re-blogged it, he/she added the comment, "What an awesome crotch."

Which, of course, made me chuckle.

As for who is responsible for creating this lovely drawing: I don't know his/her exact name, sadly, but I can direct you to his/her Tumblr, SssHannah-Man.

  2. Falcom weren't exactly shy about showing off Mail's rather lacking choice in clothing - just have a look at the cover of the PC-98 version on my blog! o.O

  4. Oh, I'll have to look at that in a minute, Kimimi! Not that I really want to see Mail half-naked, of course, but still...

  6. Ah, yes, I thought it was your Tumblr! I couldn't tell for sure, but I saw a number of your blog posts mentioned there. Anyway, thanks for making me aware of your friend's work :)

  9. Adorable!! I love Popful Mail! I remember seeing the Sega CD cover in stores when I was little and wished I had the system! lol

  10. Me, too, Kaze. I was really jealous of Sega CD owners back in the day. I didn't get one myself because I already have a TG-16 CD system and just couldn't afford a second CD system. Anyway, this game definitely was one of the few worth purchasing for the Sega CD, as far as I can remember!
