In the flesh: PINK x WHITE 3DS LL

I wish I could say I filmed the unboxing video seen below (and here), but, alas, I didn't. Who knows, though, maybe I'll be able to make my own before the year is over?

The question is: Will my unboxing video focus on a Japanese or a North American pink-and-white 3DS XL/LL?

Actually, after the pair of "Chotto Nintendo Direct" presentations (this one announced a trio of new 3DS LL color variations, while this one revealed that a number of previously released retail games will be added to the Japanese eShop on Nov. 1) that were broadcast last night, an even better question might be:

Will my unboxing video focus on the aforementioned pink-and-white XL/LL or the just-announced Animal Crossing-branded LL that'll hit store shelves in Japan on Nov. 8?

  1. That Animal Crossing 3DS might be worth trading my old one in for...holy cow. How neat! I hope someday Nintendo realizes that we're rabid for something that cute!

Me want. And if I get, I might just glue some googly eyes to the front and some ears and pretend its a jigglypuff print :D

(yes nintendo, I'm doing your job for you)

  3. Yeah, it's tough knowing that NOA will never give us something like this. I wouldn't be surprised if the NSMB2 and all-black XLs were released here, though -- hopefully along with that darn pink-and-white one I so desire!

  4. Ha! I want to see that if you ever go through with it, Josef :)

  5. This 3DS LL looks cute!
I'm not a "pink"-person and I really don't like the 3DS LL that much either because the surface looks dull.
What I like about this pink 3DS LL is that the inside is white instead of black!!!
The black inner screen was always so disturbing.
    That's why I prefered a black 3DS.

  6. So, Melody, are you saying you prefer the shininess of the original 3DS? If so, I'm kind of surprised! Actually, I like the shininess, too, although it drives me a bit nuts thanks to its propensity to pick up and show fingerprints, etc.

Anyway, yes, I agree that it's great that the inside of the pink-and-white 3DS LL is white :)

  7. I know what you mean.
The fingerprints everytime I touch the 3DS driving me nuts too but I think the shiny surface of the smaller 3DS looks so great in comparison to the dull surface of the 3DS LL. Also the smooth transition between the stronger and the lighter colour on the outside looks nice.
Too sad the 3DS LL looks so boring in comparison. :(
But I really like this Animal Crossing 3DS LL O______O

  8. Yeah, the fingerprints are why I've got a pink "condom" on my red 3DS :)

I can see why you'd call the XL/LL boring, by the way, but I don't entirely agree. I esp. think the all-white and pink-and-white ones look pretty great!

  9. Yup you're right.
As I said I agree that this pink one looks really cute.
And I'm sure this smooth transition would look aweful on this dull surface.
But that's exactly what I don't like about the 3DS LL.
    The surface.
If it would be shiny as the surface of the small 3DS and has such a transition I probably would buy one :I

  10. I hear what you're saying, Melody. Personally, I like the "dull" surface of the XL/LL, but I can understand why you'd prefer the surface of the original 3DS.
