I wonder if she ever appeared on an episode of Murder, She Wrote? :)Bryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-1954213476137727602011-05-18T23:31:23.756-07:002011-05-18T23:31:23.756-07:00Murder She Wrote is cool. I mostly remember Angela Lansbury from Bedknobs and Broomsticks, good movie that was.

Golder Girls were a favorite of mine as well, especially Bea Arthur.Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13681778110046124243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-83301108362444818342011-05-18T21:04:12.440-07:002011-05-18T21:04:12.440-07:00Yeah, like I told Justin, Kamiwoo, I'm guessin...Yeah, like I told Justin, Kamiwoo, I'm guessing most people under a certain age only saw it in passing or knew of it but didn't watch. I'm sure most of my peers back then didn't watch it, that's for sure!

My mom's always been a mystery/thriller buff, though, so we always watched it together. As such, I have pretty fond memories of it. Plus, I actually kind of like the quaintness of it all.

I'm glad you liked the Golden Girls remix, too. I love that someone made an NES introduction and "game over" screen to accompany it :)Bryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-82823433422359221692011-05-18T20:46:42.908-07:002011-05-18T20:46:42.908-07:00I never actually *watched* Murder, She Wrote so mu...I never actually *watched* Murder, She Wrote so much as it occasionally played on some TV in the background during my youth. Still, I recognized the theme instantly!

However, Golden Girls was often a family viewing experience. That's one awesome chiptune remix I can fully appreciate.LottieTwintailshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16289107214004806688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-44503502182719904002011-05-18T18:49:07.327-07:002011-05-18T18:49:07.327-07:00I love your only MSW memory, Justin! I grew up watching it, though, plus, like Marcus said, I've always had a thing for older leading ladies :)Bryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-68111547833761882832011-05-18T18:31:30.097-07:002011-05-18T18:31:30.097-07:00I've never seen an episode of the show, so I d...I've never seen an episode of the show, so I didn't know the song, but I do appreciate a good chiptunes remix. My only MSW memory has to do with changing the channel every time it started. It was on after something we always watched, but I don't remember what it was.Viewtiful_Justinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12987909785863469591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-26220360496257786162011-05-18T18:27:11.903-07:002011-05-18T18:27:11.903-07:00I'm as much of a sucker for older female leads...I'm as much of a sucker for older female leads as you are, Marcus -- I love Golden Girls, too :) Thanks for pointing me in this direction mentally with your GG post, BTW!Bryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-79608153836714164792011-05-18T17:54:22.803-07:002011-05-18T17:54:22.803-07:00Murder, She Wrote is such a great show! I'm wishing I knew how to program simple games because this would be funny as the loop to a "long-lost adaptation" (like the Great Gatsby videogame).

Golden Girls is much better though.Richard Goodnesshttp://secondquest.vgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-63314225401959470342011-05-18T13:01:37.320-07:002011-05-18T13:01:37.320-07:00BTW, a similarly geriatric chiptune -- a retooling...BTW, a similarly geriatric chiptune -- a retooling of the Golden Girls theme song -- can be heard here: http://vidyaboi.blogspot.com/2011/04/tgif-back-in-st-olaf-edition.htmlBryan Ochallahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256591698209804728noreply@blogger.com
