The voices sounded the same to me, or at least similar enough that I didn't notice a difference.

As for SM3DW: YES! I love that it looked kind of weird. Very much looking forward to playing this game later this year :)thegaygamer (Bryan)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-14488713120665363892013-10-02T17:08:44.102-07:002013-10-02T17:08:44.102-07:00Is it just me, or does the voice acting in the NOA...Is it just me, or does the voice acting in the NOA Bravely Default trailer sound different than the NOE trailer? I still don't understand why some of the voices have a lower sound quality, too.

As for Super Mario 3D World, the E3 trailer made me interested in the game, but I figured it would be a standard Mario game. This new trailer is like Nintendo was saying "Remember when Mario games were weird? Well here's a bunch of new, weird stuff!" I greatly approve of the new trailer. It looks fun.2D2Willnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-52404810802929676352013-10-02T09:40:14.567-07:002013-10-02T09:40:14.567-07:00I think SM3DW looks like a good mix of Galaxy and ...I think SM3DW looks like a good mix of Galaxy and SM3DL myself--although, sadly, I'm not as experienced with 3DL as I should be, so I may be way off-base there.

Regardless, I'm loving the look of 3D World, and now I'm think it'll do quite well in North America, especially -- perhaps better than Galaxy in the long run? Nintendo will have to boost sales of Wii U hardware for that to happen, though.

As for Kirby: I'm totally in love with it at the moment. It looks like Kirby's Return to Dream Land (for Wii), but better. Cuter. Softer. And that switching levels stuff? Brilliant!

Seriously, I'm more stoked for Kirby than I probably should be at the moment :)thegaygamer (Bryan)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-39521477725857224022013-10-02T06:38:37.204-07:002013-10-02T06:38:37.204-07:00I've been pumped for 3D World, as you know, bu...I've been pumped for 3D World, as you know, but this got me even more excited! I've felt like 3DW had that same understated quality that 3DL had, not really the "impressive" game that Nintendo needs, the way Galaxy was (even though I prefer 3DL!) but maybe not, with all the cool new features and that soundtrack, and Bowser's purple car (did he get that from Wario?), it's definitely "pushing" a little further. I just hope there are some level themes that resemble that jazzy theme song!

Kirby is also looking really attractive! I often feel like I could take or leave Kirby, but there was a lot of cool stuff going on in that trailer, I feel kinda keen on this one, the motion and action going on as Kirby goes through these screens is really appealing.michaelstearnsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-17737959883179082852013-10-01T20:25:46.116-07:002013-10-01T20:25:46.116-07:00Oh, yes, I really like what we heard of the soundt...Oh, yes, I really like what we heard of the soundtrack in this game, Sam. Also, I like it when Nintendo tries something different with Mario soundtracks--as opposed to reusing the same songs over and over and over again.

As for the Wii U being the go-to place for platformers this time around: I can' t disagree with you there, either. Of course, the Wii was the go-to place for platformers last generation, so I guess it shouldn't be too surprising to see them popping up on the Wii this gen, too.thegaygamer (Bryan)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-40356486002750713572013-10-01T16:51:16.520-07:002013-10-01T16:51:16.520-07:00The new 3D world trailer made me interested in the...The new 3D world trailer made me interested in the game also. The E3 reveal made it look like it was just going to be 3D Land with different levels, multi-player, and clear pipes but this trailer showed those more to World than that. Also I know some people are disappointed that the soundtrack isn't like Galaxy but I'm enjoying it's what I guess you would call big band sound. I'm just glad they're using actual instruments instead of midi impersonators.

Looks like the Wii U is going to be the console to go for when playing platformers what with it having New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey kong Tropical Freeze, Sonic Lost World, and Rayman Legends (I know it's also on 360/PS3/Vita/PC but it was originally going to be exclusive and reviews say you can tell it was designed of the Wii U) not to mention indie platformers.Monster_Hunter2882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-23198066982403910022013-10-01T15:03:43.854-07:002013-10-01T15:03:43.854-07:00Eh, we'll see, Drew. Oh, and then there's the fact that I'm going to have an absolute shitload of games to buy after I finally acquire a Wii U, so there's really no reason/need to add another to the pile--at least right now.thegaygamer (Bryan)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20740650.post-69360766005395441512013-10-01T15:02:07.087-07:002013-10-01T15:02:07.087-07:00I really want Wart to return, too, Drew.
