I actually have a lot to say about the wacky TV spot that can be enjoyed below (and here), but all of it was rather eloquently summed up by NeoGAF user Oersted when he/she said the following earlier today: "Pretty much the Nintendo I want. No acting tough and serious. We are colourful, suck it."
Will this commercial prompt hundreds of thousands--or more--of Japanese citizens to race out and pick up one of the new 3DS systems that will hit store shelves in that region in just over a week (on Oct. 11, to be exact)? I have no idea, but it certainly has me contemplating buying one ASAP.
[Maniacal laughter]
ReplyDeleteI think they are *at times* but, yes, it would be nice to see the company be even more wild and wacky.
ReplyDeleteCan't fault you for that, Chief. I pretty much only like FF spin-offs these days myself. Haven't been interested in the mainline games since ... FFIX? Anyway, I really wish SE would make another FFT game soon -- and not for mobile!
ReplyDeleteIs that aimed at me, Chief or both of us, Terry? :P
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why I've yet to play much of Disgaea, Chief. I mean, it's definitely "up my alley," as they say. I think it's because my PS2's usually packed away, and I'm too lazy to pull it out, even for an appealing game like Disgaea...
ReplyDeleteI want these outfits in Smash Bros.
ReplyDeleteYou could always get them for Vita later.
ReplyDeleteYeah I did that. Currently playing through Disgaea 4 Vita port and Akiba's Trip. Akiba's trip is quirky goodness.
ReplyDeleteGive me as many tactics/strategy games as can be made. I'll be terrible but, the fun begins at my first game over. :D
ReplyDeleteThat would be great, wouldn't it? For some reason, though, I can't see Nintendo offering them :|
ReplyDeleteYep, me too, Chief. I love tactics games!
ReplyDeleteThe first Disgaea is available on Vita?
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. I'm talking about the first Disgaea, though. I refuse to buy any Disgaea sequels until I at least *play* the one I already have :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, glad to hear you're enjoying Akiba's Trip. I've read very mixed things about it.
