I can't tell if the guys at ilovecharts.tumblr.com created the following image or if it was created by someone else (you can't always tell with tumblelogs), but it doesn't really matter.
What matters is that, for the most part, I agree with it. (I'd agree with it more if it were titled, "How straight male video-game makers design characters.")

Ha! That's about right. Have you heard about Lara Croft's redesign?
I'm not sure... Is she going to have smaller boobs or something like that??
It is so true I almost die a little inside. In the beginning I thought I was unimpressed with the gaming community - turns out I was kind of unimpressed of people all together. I don't like to be negative and here I am, starting off the new year thinking about stupid people. :D
She's getting a complete overhaul. The newest issue of Game Informer has a huge article about it. It sounds like maybe they're trying realllllly hard to reboot the franchise. She's more vulnerable, more feminine, but less stereotypically booby.
I'm sorry it bothers you that much, Starfighter :( Hopefully the gaming industry's more open-minded men and women will help kick this kind of thing to the curb -- sooner rather than later.
Justin: That's very interesting. Are you a fan of the Tomb Raider games? Honestly, I've never played anything but the first one...
Not really. They're too...I don't know...I'm not a fan of shooters, but I am a fan of good platformers and adventure/puzzle games. It's not a good enough example of EITHER of those things to keep me playing...but I like the IDEA of Tomb Raider. Legend was pretty good.
I have a feeling the more modern Tomb Raiders are the kinds of games that I'd like to watch someone else play.
