Case in point, the following Animal Crossing: New Leaf pouches that (I believe) were just added to the Japanese Club Nintendo rewards catalog.
I mean, I'm sure they'll pop up on eBay sometime soon enough, so those of us currently drooling over them can just pick up one there, but I'd prefer to use some of the Club Nintendo points I've been stockpiling for the last year or so, if at all possible.

First thing I thought when I saw these and the fact they're Animal Crossing related was "Reese and Cyrus".
Ah, good thinking, Sam! You may be right. Or they just could be boys and girls versions, I guess, but I like your explanation better :)
I don't have a case for my 3DS, but those are cyte and tempting. They don't look like they'd add much in the way of bulk.
Yeah, that's my thinking, too. Most 3DS cases are simply too bulky to be practical, IMO.
One of my co-workers has a giant red plastic XL case that looks like it could double as med-pack in a shooter game.

It's nice having a guaranteed StreetPass each day. I convinced him to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and he's put in about 300 hours and completely passed me up. Now, if I could just get him to try Animal Crossing... lol

Yeah, they probably are the so-called "boys and girls versions" but I can imagine Reese and Cyrus carrying their 3DSes (both of which would be Blue and Pink) in these using the color to tell whose is whose.
I like the way you think, Sam :) BTW, I now think Nintendo really missed an opportunity here to "brand" these with Reese's and Cyrus' silhouettes (the pink one would have Reese's and the blue on Cyrus', of course).
