I'd rather watch this than Prince of Persia

Of course, that's not really saying much.

"A brother dies. A challenge arises. A friendship is forged. And so it begins."

You know, I think it's entirely possible that Tetris: The Movie features better writing than the aforementioned Jake Gyllenhaal star vehicle.

Not that I go to the movies often anyway, but I certainly won't be making a trip for the sake of seeing Prince of Persia. That Gyllenhaal stooge has always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason, and it saddens me that someone saw fit to cast him as the badass prince. I did read a review of the movie in Time magazine yesterday, and it was a positive piece, but the only specific thing I remember about the article was the accompanying photo, a clownish Gyllenhaal decked out as a warrior. Too bad; I loved the Sands of Time and Warrior Within games.

Yeah, the casting of Gyllenhaal is a definite head-scratcher. I guess he and the producers of the film were looking to transform him into a mainstream action star, though I'm not sure why (and I'm not sure they were successful).

Random aside: I've never played any of the Prince of Persia games. I'm not sure why, to tell you the truth. Maybe I should correct that error soon...

I know you like ICO, so I think there's a pretty good chance you'll like Sands and WW as well. I'm really generalizing here, but they're the same sort of deal in that you wander around solving cool puzzles and occasionally fighting. They obviously don't have that adorability factor that ICO has, but the prince is a surprisingly charismatic fellow.

Well, then, I'll add them to my "must try" list, IvaNEC. Thanks for the suggestion!
