Raise your hand if you're a Tympole hater

I hereby declare the Tympole (right) to be the worst Pokémon design ever. Or, at least the worst Pokémon design of which I'm aware.

Close behind, in my estimation, is Roggenrola.

On the other hand, two of my favorite designs of this generation thus far are the two-by-four toting Timburr and the zebra-based Blitzle. (I also have a bit of a soft spot for Sewaddle.)

To those of you currently playing through Pokémon Black or White: Which designs are your favorites and least favorites so far?

I'm currently about nine hours into the game at this point, by the way. I just chased Team Plasma through Pinwheel Forrest and into Castelia City.

Oh, I understand that, Nuts!

Which 3DS color are you getting, by the way? And do you plan to buy any 3DS games alongside the system?

Oh so that's its english name huh. Yeah I wasn't so impressed with the design either but, it looks better in the official artwork and its evolutions are okay. I like the new designs for the reasons I shouldn't; they're a bit messier, grungier, and weirder.

Hey there, Suika! My problem with the Tympole's design is that it looks cheap -- or like a kid drew it (and I don't mean that in a good way).

I like the majority of the designs, though -- some for the same reasons you do.

I'm especially looking forward to finding and catching the one that looks like a chandelier :)

I still haven't seen that chandelier pokemon...and I'm about 25 hours in. My favorites so far? Blitzle, Klink, and Scraggy. And the Yamask is kind of cool, too...

I think my least favorite has got to be Emolga and Joltik.

But I'm loving the game and it shows no signs of slowing...

I just ran into (and accidentally defeated) my first legendary pokemon...damnit.

The chandelier-based Pokemon should be in both versions, Justin. Maybe it just appears late in the game -- or in the post-game?

Also, as far as I know, it doesn't look like a chandelier until the second or third form. (First form looks like a cute candle.)

I really like Scraggy, too -- just caught him yesterday. And the Daruma-based Pokemon (can't remember his name).

I haven't even come across Emolga or Joltik yet!

Anyway, I'm loving it, too. I can't see myself not finishing it at this point.

Holy hell...it ramps up toward the end. I just caught my first legendary pokemon...which was...not the one I killed. I hope there's some place to get Master Balls. This is going to be rough.

All that's left is the Elite 4...and whatever comes after that.

Wow! You're really racing through it, aren't you? I'm at the third gym leader right now.

Yeah...they cut my hours at work, so I have a lot more free time lately. Not to mention that I'm playing it for a few hours every day...

Oh, that doesn't sound good (that your hours were cut) :( I guess it's good that you get to play more Pokemon as a result, though.
