The PlayStation Store is back up (or, I should buy Claddun: This is an RPG before it goes down again, shouldn't I?)

I'm sure most, if not all, of you PSP and PS3 owners know this already, but just in case you don't: The PlayStation Store is accessible again.

Well, unless you're in Japan, Hong Kong or South Korea. Sony has yet to reveal when the PS Store will be accessible in those regions, sadly.

I was going to hop onto the store tonight in order to make use of Sony's "Welcome Back" package--which allows all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users to download a pair of games from the PS Store--but I just read that the package is not yet available.

I guess I could access the store and finally buy Claddun: This is an RPG and/or Pac-Man Championship Edition, but I think a better course of action for me would be to save that cash for something more interesting--like Rhythm Tengoku Wii, which is supposed to be released in Japan in the next month or two, or Xenoblade Chronicles, which will be released in Europe in September.

Are any of you planning to go onto the PS Store tonight or this weekend? If so, what are you going to purchase?

I wish. The eShop channel for the 3DS opens on Monday...so...I'm eagerly awaiting that. The first thing I'll get? Shantae 2: Risky's Revenge.

Hey, the eShop for the 3DS is more exciting, IMO. I can't wait to hear what you think of it. You'll download the free '3D Classics' version of Excitebike, right?

I dunno. I guess it depends on the price. I was never a huge Excitebike (or Excitedyke, as Robb calls it) fan. He is, so maybe I'll get it for him. There's so much DSi ware I want to get, since I haven't had any access to that yet. It's gonna take me FOREVER to play it all...

Ah, you haven't seen the news then, have you? The '3D Classics' version of Excitebike is going to be FREE for the first month! That price is right, eh? :)

WHAT?! Well, then I'm all over it. I had no idea. Most of the news about the 3DS right now is all "this was pushed back, that was cancelled, this isn't going to happen, this might break, watch out for this, etc."

Consequently, I haven't been following it very closely. That's pretty awesome.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure it will be free for the first month. Also, some sort of Pokemon 3D will be free when the eShop is launched. Pretty cool if you ask me!

On the topic of the Playstation Store, I actually purchased the two things I'd been eagerly awaiting since it went down, the second I knew it was up!

The first being Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, or "Wizardry: LoLS", as I'm fond of typing it. Oldschool-style dungeon crawling with some really attractive character designs. I'm in love.

Secondly, the all-female fighting game, Arcana Heart 3! I'm a sucker for cute things, what can I say? It's actually a solid fighting game, from what I can tell so far.

The "Welcome Back" freebies I've had less time to indulge in, but I picked up Little Big Planet for PS3 as one of my choices. Again, adorableness always triumphs.

Cladun is a fine gaming choice as well, but I'll have to agree those others you mentioned sound a like more exciting ;D

Hey there, Kamiwoo! Oh, I'm especially jealous of your purchase of Wizardry: LoLS. I'm going to publish a post about that game tomorrow, actually -- as it *really* interests me :)

I've heard of the Arcana Heart games, but never played any of them. They're fun?

As for Cladun, I'm going to get it soon, really I am. For some reason I feel no particular need to buy it right now, though, you know what I mean?

I'm interested in reading that post! I shall fit that into my otherwise busy Wizardry-playing schedule, yes indeed.

Shame it's not a multiplatform release, but Wizardry is that odd series that's Western in origin but hugely popular in Japan... so PS3-only it is.

Arcana Heart is pretty fun if you're into fighting games, yeah! I'm not all that great at them usually, but I can manage with this one. Plus you get to play as a girl whose drawings come to life and attack her enemies, among other interesting choices. I like weird stuff like that =p

When it comes to any download-only game, unless it's something I'm planning to play right then and there, I feel no obligation to download it, either! It's not like it can disappear from the virtual shelf or anything like that... although there's now news from XSEED that Brave Story: New Traveler (PSP RPG) will be pulled from the PS Store soon due to an expiring license. I hope we don't see this kind of thing happening often in the future.

Don't expect much from the post, Kamiwoo -- I'm just prepping one that talks about how my PS3 'to buy' list has increased in size quite a bit in the last few days, thanks in part to the release of Wizardry.

I actually know very little about the game. I just know I like how it looks and I like that it's a hardcore dungeon crawler :)

I'm not big on fighting games, but I do like creative ones. Sounds like Arcana Heart is one of them!

As for Brave Story being pulled from PSN -- that's too bad! Like you, I hope we don't see too much of that going forward...
