Back in the saddle again

Well, the 2011 Schochallagerdt Family Vacation is over. Actually, it ended a few hours ago--when my parents pulled away from our curb in their rental car and headed back to the airport.

Although my head feels as though it's full of cobwebs at the moment, I'm sure it will be cleared up by tomorrow. As such, expect this blog to return to normal--i.e., expect to see more than a single, measly post published to it per day--within the next 24 hours.

Ha! I've been checking your blog going, "I hope he didn't die. I'm sure he'll be back. Why don't you go do something productive?" for a few days.

Glad to have you back. Hope the goodbye wasn't tearful, and if it was, I hope the solitude will be a comfort.

Oh, sorry to put you through that, Justin! Believe me, I'd never just walk away from this blog without saying something. I probably should have warned all of you that my downtime might last two weeks rather than one, though. Anyway, things are back to normal now -- or will be tomorrow or the next day :)

As for the goodbye: It wasn't tearful, thankfully. Not that I won't miss my parents or David's dad and sister, but we all had a great time and spent so much quality time together that there's nothing to be sad about (in my opinion, at least). Plus, I think my parents, especially, were looking forward to getting back to "life as usual," too. You can only be away from your home for so long, right?

Glad that you are back! I was starting to wonder too! :)

The use of the Wild Gunman image confuses me a bit. Do you mean to say that you are ready to draw? Or that you are shaking out the cobwebs (he seems to be shaking)? Either way, I like to see that image:)

Hey there, Sean! Sorry to worry you guys. Really, I thought people would welcome the lesser amount of posts :)

As for the Wild Gunman image -- I chose it based on the headline ("Back in the saddle again.") I couldn't think of any other Famicom game that included a cowboy in its cover art, so I went with Wild Gunman even though it doesn't feature a horse or saddle :P

Can you think of any Famicom games that feature a cowboy *and* horse on the cover art :)
