What gaming-related gifts did you get?

With Christmas and the rest of the season's gift-giving holidays now behind us (or nearly behind us, since Kwanzaa just started) what gaming-related presents did all of you get?

I received just two gaming-related gifts this year, but one of them was a doozy: A "flame red" 3DS. (The other was a copy of Super Mario 3D Land. Read about it and the 3DS in yesterday's final "12 Games of Christmas" post.) You can bet I'll be spending some quality time with both of them today as the hubs and I fly back to Seattle.

I'll share all of my 3DS details--mainly my friend code, or whatever Nintendo's calling it this time around--shortly after we get home.

In the meantime, tell me in the comments section below what gaming-related gifts, if any, you received from your loved ones!

Sounds like a great haul to me, Adam! Let me know what you think about Starfy, will you? I've been curious about that series of games for a long time but have yet to actually give it a try.

I received a Super Mario 5" Vinyl Figure and a The Black Eyed Peas Experience for Nintendo Wii. Not that bad (n_n)

Hey, that's great, Miircelo! (Love your name, by the way.) Are you shakin' your butt to the Black Eyed Peas Experience as we speak? :)

I didn't receive any games. What I did receive was a package from club Nintendo. Check out my blog and see what I got.

Aside from money I used to get myself 3DS games and, eventually that Gundam 3DS, I did get a limited edition Pac-Man Moleskine. Which I didn't even know was a thing. It's so great. I'm happy to hear of your own 3DS acquisition too.

Hey nice score with the red 3DS there!

No video game stuff for me this year (I probably have too much already anyway), but we had a great Xmas nonetheless:)

I got a new bathrobe that I will use on cold mornings and nights when I play video games, if that counts. Used it last night and this morning while replaying Metal Gear Solid 3. Nothing directly video game related, though.

As I've already mentioned, like, everywhere (not really), I finally got my copy of Mario Kart 7! It's a lot of fun but my husband is going through and beating all the cups when I'm busing doing something else, haha.

Just like Adam, I also picked up The Legendary Starfy! That was during Boxing Day sales ;) Also nabbed a copy of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Crystal Bearers (what a title) very cheap on Boxing Day too... And ALMOST got Harvest Moon: The Tree of Tranquility but I wasn't sure if that one was any good or not so I ended up passing on it.

Can't wait to get your friend code when you get home! You'll have to download Swapnote, too, it's free and it's a lot of fun sending and receiving messages with friends :)

Yay to your new 3DS! And Merry Belated Christmas!

I got Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. I don't know if it's considered a gift though. I just mentioned to my BF that they were out, and he immediately went out t get it - and he NEVER buys games. So yeah, now I think we need another 3DS :P.

Have to say Super Mario 3D Land really turned me around on the 3DS. First game I tried out that I want to put the 3D on max.

Hope you are enjoying your new system!

Oh, sure, Daniel, make me check your blog to find the answer. Of course, I pull that card now and then, too, so I guess I can't complain :P

SUIKA: Wow, I am impressed by your haul! Have you received the Gundam 3DS yet, or is it still on its way to you? I really like the look of it.

As for a Pac-Man Moleskin -- you're talking about a notebook of some sort, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Regardless, I hope to see photos of it on your blog at some point :)

Sean: Well, that's really the point of the holidays, isn't it? To have a great time with the ones you love. Did you and your wife stay in Japan, by the way? Do you ever go 'home' to Canada this time of year?

A new bathrobe sounds great to me, Mark! And, really, I just wanted people to tell me about their holidays, etc. -- the 'gifts' don't have to be gaming-related, or even gifts!

Anyway, hope you had a nice holiday weekend/season overall :)

Sounds like you got quite a haul, too, Anne. Yay! As for Mario Kart 7: I'll be ordering my copy today. Should be here by the end of the week? Regardless, I'll be sure to let everyone know :)

Like I said earlier, I'll be curious to hear what you think of Starfy. I've actually been considering picking up a copy of the GBA original via eBay as of late, but have yet to bit the bullet.

I'm also curious to hear what you think of Crystal Bearers. I was interested in it while it was in production, but the end result didn't just seem like something I'd want to play. Too bad. Still, I hope you like it. Who knows, if you like it a LOT, maybe I'll still pick it up :)

OK, off to download Swapnote and Pushmo and Freaky Forms!

Hey there, Darwin! I've been wondering where you went off to :) I'd definitely call your acquisition of SM3DL and Mario Kart 7 gifts, by the way -- not that it really matters. All that matters is that you have them and that you seemingly enjoy them :)

As for me, I'm loving SM3DL at the moment. I love that the levels are kind of short, and I really like the use of 3D, too. Now I just need to order a copy of Mario Kart 7...

My mom bought me a copy of Ocarina of Time for 3DS, which I already have, so I'm getting something else today...maybe Mario Kart 7? I got that for Robb, too, so we can play together!

My sister got me Kirby Mass Attack!! It's super fun. Other than that, now I can play games on my iPhone!!!

Bryan Ochalla said...

Ah, that's the game you got. I like the idea of trading it in for Mario Kart 7, of course. Can't wait to play against you and some of the other folks who come here :)

As for getting Kirby Mass Attack: Yay! I'm thinking of picking that up myself when I order Mario Kart 7. You're enjoying it so far? I've heard great things about it.

Finally, sooooo jealous of your iPhone. Congrats! Can't wait to hear what games you buy for it...
