No, wait, *this* is the dreamiest Dreamcast ever

Just over a month ago, I proclaimed the Space Channel 5-themed Dreamcast that served as the centerpiece of this post to be the dreamiest Dreamcast ever produced.

Well, after seeing the Jet Set Radio-branded Dreamcast in the photo below (and here), I'm no longer so sure about that proclamation.

Granted, I would happily and greedily accept either of these Oskunk-painted Dreamcasts from anyone willing to give me one, but if I were given a choice I'd probably go with the one you see above.

How about you? Which one do you prefer? (Can't make up your mind based on the photos seen in this post and in this previous post? More snapshots of both of these custom-painted systems can be found here and here.)

Holy shit, son, that is friggin' GORGEOUS! Pink and green against a soft gold background = YES FUCKING PLEASE!

Can't wait for the HD release of *JSR* in Summer. Only *Shenmue* to go and I can die a happy dude :).

Thanks for that, man :D!

xx

That looks pretty sweet, and I never played JSR. I played the sequel on xbox but didn't dig it too well.

Hey there, Gary! I agree that the coloring of this particular DC is amazing. If I owned such a system I'd probably be able to do little more than stare at it :P

I'm also looking forward to the HD release of both JSR and Shenmue, BTW. Of course, I have yet to buy the HD release of Space Channel 5 Part 2. Maybe I should get to that before the other two titles are released...

I've never played the Xbox sequel, Adam, but everything I've read about it suggests it pales in comparison to the DC original -- which I've thoroughly enjoyed over the years :)

Now this is great! I have to admit I like it better than the Space Channel 5 one, if just for the colors. Green and yellow is a bit of a weakness of mine.

This guy does some great stuff! If I had the money to spend, I'd surely blow it on one of these creations.

No reason to feel bad about preferring this one to the SC5 one, Anne -- I feel the same way!

Have you played either of these games, BTW? If not, I'd highly recommend doing so at some point. Both of them were released during Sega's amazing last gasp, as I like to call it :)

I dunno...I love the yellow of this one, but I love the other design more.

Ah, a challenger appears! I understand, Justin. The design of the other one is a bit bolder, isn't it? Still, I can't help but prefer this one. I'm glad someone (you) prefers the SC5 one, though :)
