Class (of Heroes 2) is in session

The day all PSP-owning dungeon-crawler fans have been waiting for since early February finally has arrived: boxed copies of the English version of Class of Heroes 2 are now available for purchase at gaijinworks.com.

Initially, I wasn't too pleased with the $36.99 price tag that's been attached to this release, but I've since softened a bit because it includes shipping as well as a physical copy of Class of Heroes 2 and a download code for the digital iteration of this portable RPG.

Anyway, I just handed over my hard-earned cash for a copy. Are any of you planning to do the same before this pre-sale drive ends on May 8?

Saw the email when I got home today and went straight out to put money on my credit card to but it. Have it booked now. Even though I'm paying extra from international shipping it's still a good bit less than a physical release here.

Oh, that's great! I'm really looking forward to playing this one, even if it looks a good bit less interesting than, say, Etrian Odyssey to me. Anyway, glad to know someone else here is on board for it, too :)

Still can't bring myself to buy it, Bryan! :P Glad to see it's finally out, though. Unfortunately it looks like they had to take the opening animation due to some legal issues?

Don't feel bad, Anne. It really doesn't sound like your kind of thing, and in such cases why buy a game you aren't really interested in?

As for the opening animation being cut: yep, that's the case, as far as I'm aware. I don't much care, though, as it sounds like the opening wasn't all that amazing to begin with.

Isn't the opening animation in the digital version? I'm not sure and could be wrong but heard something a little to that effect.

I pre-ordered it because I'm a sucker for PSP games. I love the thing! Unfortunately, I've already played the import version and... it's really not all that good. (But I'm going to play it again anyway!) Still though, I hope that's just me and you enjoy it =D

Oh, sure, Ziggy, stomp on my hopes and dreams! Just kidding :) Honestly, I don't much care if it's good or bad at the moment--I just want a copy of it and a chance to experience it in English. I'll let you know what I think of it regardless, though!
