You're buying THE 'DENPA' MEN 2: Beyond the Waves from the 3DS eShop today, right?

FYI: the sequel to my favorite game of last year--Genius Sonority's THE "DENPA" MEN 2: Beyond the Waves--will hit the European and North American 3DS eShops sometime this morning.

I'll be adding this unique RPG's sure-to-be-colorful icon to my cluttered 3DS menu as soon as I'm able, of course. Are any of you planning to do the same at some point?

If you'd like to learn a bit more about THE "DENPA" MEN 2: Beyond the Waves before handing over your hard-earned bucks--it'll cost $11.99 in North America and €9.99 or £8.99 in Europe--you might want to check out my recent interview with Genius Sonority's CEO Manabu Yamana.

You might also want to read the "somewhat gay" review of THE "DENPA" MEN: They Came By Wave that I published last October.

Oh, God...this AND two Zelda games I've never played today?! I'm going to be so broke...

Yep, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf is out on June 9. Ack! My wallet will be sad but I will be HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! ;)

I will buy it eventually, but the two Zelda games come first. I beat Oracle of Seasons during it's original release, but I never got around to Oracle of Ages. I have to hurry before Animal Crossing comes out and sucks up all of my gaming time.

I'm starting to think I'm one of the few 3S owners who won't be buying the Oracle games today. Of course, I didn't play them back when they were released (I have no idea why), so maybe I shouldn't be so surprised? I may have to try them soon, though, if they're anywhere near as good as people are making out...

Oh snap, did'nt know a second one was coming out.

I got the first one because of you. a good buy haha.

Don't worry, Robert, it kind of snuck up on me, too. Of course, I kind of thought a demo would hit the eShop in advance of the full game's release. I guess not!

I kinda of want to try the 1st one 1st but it'll probably be awhile before I get it since I bought Pokemon White 2 and I usually try to not start a turn based game while I'm in the process of playing another 1. I'm also behind on my to buy list for the 3DS eSHOP and I still haven't finshed Crashmo tough I was able to finally solve a puzzle I've been stuck on for awhile (It was the 1 with the doughnut on a fork). Plus my next purchase is going to be Animal Crossing: New Leaf and there is nothing that's going to change that.

I still find it weird that DenpaMen isn't a Nintendo published series. It just looks so Nintendo plus there's the fact Genuis Sonority worked on multiple Pokemon games. The Demo I played also played very Nintendo like (I mean that in the best way possible). I kind of wish Nintendo did publish it so that we could get some DenpaMen in Super Smash Bros Wii U+3DS.

Also about the 2 Zelda Oracle games. It appears you can't access the advance shop or get the advanced ring in the e-shop release. I haven't bought the game yet so I can't confirm it myself but I've read about it around the net. I just felt like that needed to be reported.

Yeah, I mean, in a perfect world, I'd suggest everyone play the first game first, as it's a lot of fun and surely would do a good job of introducing people to the characters, world, etc.

That said, I understand that most people who passed on the first game aren't going to want to pick it up now, play through it and then pick up and play the second.

Plus, the second one seems to be a fuller game, with more of a world, etc., so it's hard to recommend against it at this point.

I'm with you on AC:NF, BTW. A pack of lions couldn't keep me from that game at this point!

I agree with you here, Sam. I wonder if Nintendo turned it down, though, or if the folks at GS just wanted to do it on their own? If it's the former, it really is too bad, as the game is of Nintendo quality from start to finish and definitely would have been worth Nintendo's while. Thankfully, both Denpa Men games have sold like gangbusters in Japan, so at least they've likely made a good chunk of change there, regardless of how it does here or in Europe.

Thanks for the crack reporting, Sam :) Strangely, I've never played the Oracle games--or even felt the need to play them. Not sure why that is. Of course, I've never been the biggest Zelda fan. Loved the first, Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time, but haven't finished any others!

Yeah. Amen. I JUST realized that Animal Crossing comes out in a tiny bit over a week. That's terrifying.

Terrifying? EXCITING! I'm going to spend as long as I can on Sunday, June 9, playing this sucker :)

Amazingly, I did finish the first one, Alois. Actually, it's my most-played 3DS game so far--with about 40 hours of playtime, I think.

I DO buy too many games and don't play them, Alois. Never used to be a problem for me, but something's happened to me within the last two years. Don't worry, I'm trying to do something about it without going through some 12-step program :)
