I just remembered that I'll be able to buy (and play) Catherine now that I own an Xbox 360

I've been so focused on using my Xbox 360 as an Xbox Live Arcade and Indie Games player that I completely forgot, until last night, that I'll soon be able to use that big, black box to play Atlus' upcoming erotic and horrific puzzler-platformer (boy, that's a mouthful), Catherine, too.

What prompted this late-night revelation? Well, the folks at Atlus released a bunch of localized (English) screenshots--like the one below--of the game, that's what.

According to Amazon.com, by the way, both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Catherine will be available for purchase (for about $59.99) as of July 26. Pre-order the PS3 version here and the Xbox 360 version here.

That's kind of steep for a XBox 360 game, isn't it? Wow. I am STILL having revelations about what games I can get now that I have a PS2. I can't imagine getting another current gen console...I'd be lost.

Actually, I think that's the going rate for a lot of first-run 360 AND PS3 games, Justin -- which is why I'm going to stick (mainly) to downloadable games for the 360.

I'll probably wait until my birthday (Nov.) to get Catherine, honestly. I just can't see spending $60 on a game anytime soon.

Ah, speaking of which, look for a "Which Box Art is Better?" post on all four of Catherine's NA covers tomorrow morning, Nuts :)

I got a chance to play the demo of this on the PS3, and it's incredibly addicting, but very difficult. Apparently, it was so hard in Japan that a patch had to be released to lower the difficulty. I kind of hope they keep the original difficulty settings over here.

Hey there, DemiHuman123! Welcome to this blog :)

Anyway, I'm jealous that you've already experienced this game -- in demo form, at least. I've heard it's a hard game. I feel like I've read the the NA version will include the baby/easy mode added/patched to the Japanese version, but don't quote me on that.

At the very least, hopefully it'll include that mode as well as all of the original modes...
