If you, too, like stubby arms and legs, you're sure to love Atlus' Nora and the Engraving Studio

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I'm a complete sucker for game characters with stubby little arms and/or legs.

As such, it should not be a surprise to hear I'm really looking forward to the upcoming DS RPG, Nora and the Engraving Studio: The Witch of the Misty Forest--an Atlus-published game that will feature the following stubby-legged girl:

Another reason I'm looking forward to this "slow-life RPG": It's being made by some of the folks responsible for the Etrian Odyssey series.

Those stubs! Those horns! That cuteness! Well, I'm sold.

Having people from the EO team involved can only serve to make this impulsive decision turn out well in the end.

Yes! It's hard to say which part of the character is cutest, isn't it? Here's hoping it's released outside of Japan!

What the heck is with that title? I'm intrigued by it. And also...slow life RPG?

I don't know, Justin! I should add that some have translated the title to be 'Nora and the Time Studio.' Sadly, I have no idea which translation is more accurate.

As for the "slow-life RPG" bit: The game is supposed to be like a mix of an Etrian Odyssey-esque RPG and the Atelier series, which I've never played. I think you tend to run a shop in them?

Oh, yeah. That sounds familiar.

So, you haven't played any of the Atelier games either? I really have to try one sometime...

I've never played one, but Annie sounded kind of good.

That was on the DS, wasn't it? Maybe I'll check that one out eventually...
