My Famicom 'Pulse Line' cart collection is complete

After finally acquiring copies of Baseball and Golf, my collection of Famicom "Pulse Line" carts is complete.

Granted, not all of them are of the "complete-in-box" variety, but such copies of Donkey Kong Jr. Math and Popeye English are both hard to come by and expensive.

The photo above features 11 of the 14 "Pulse Line" carts Nintendo released at the beginning of the Famicom's lifetime: Baseball, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong 3, Golf, Gomoku Narabe Renju, Mah-Jong, Mario Bros., Pinball, Popeye and Tennis.

I left out Devil World because its box is bigger than the others.

For another photo of my Famicom "Pulse Line" collection, go here. Also, close-up shots of Baseball and Golf can be seen here and here.

It makes my soul happy to see them all so pretty and together...*sigh*

Me, too, Justin! I've been looking forward to taking this photo for some time :)

Maybe someday I'll take it again -- this time with CIB copies of DK Jr. Math and Popeye English!

Totally awesomeness! ^_^

Thanks, Famicom Freak. I had a feeling you'd like this post :)

Absolutely gorgeous. You should just leave it in a stack like this around the house and call it art!

Hey there, Kamiwoo! Good idea! I'd do that, but our cat surely would knock it over and then either rub against the boxes or, gasp, chew on the corners. Sigh. Maybe I'll do that after she gets too old to jump on tables, etc. :)

Awesome picture and glad to see you got 'em all! I love how the picture has the cases all stacked in a rainbow color style :) it's very appealing.

Thanks, Marcus! Yeah, I planned it that way -- so it would be a rainbow of Famicom boxes/cases :)

Amazing! Congrats on that collecting feat! Those look fantastic too, I love the Donkey Kong box!

Count me as "jealous"!

Thanks, Sean! I swear, someday I'm going to add CIB copies of DK Jr. Math and Popeye English, but I'm going to have to save up for those (or ask for them for b-day/Christmas).

Anyway, yes, the DK box is great, as is the DK Jr. box, IMO. Those two along with the Mario Bros. box are my faves :)

As far as jealousness goes, you can be jealous about these and I'll be jealous about your CIB copy of Ice Climber!

Haha, I was going to say that Sean might be jealous! :P Nice collection :)

It's quite a feat to make Sean jealous of a Famicom collection, isn't it?

Anyway, thanks as always, Simon!

Thanks, VGAR! Yes, it is nice to complete a collection goal. Now I guess I can turn my attention back to my PC Engine collection. Or maybe I should buy the other Fami games I've had my eye on for some time...
