Are you one of the many fans who were left feeling heartbroken after the folks at Capcom announced they were canceling Mega Man Legends 3? I am, and I don't even own a 3DS!
It seems a number of the artists who contribute to the Drawed Goods tumblog were bummed by the cancellation, too, since many of the site's most recent uploads focus on the Blue Bomber and/or his compadres.
The one above, titled "Mega Man Kicks Butt," was was drawn by the fabulous Drew Green, by the way. To see more of his work, check out his blog, his deviantART gallery or his tumblog.

I hadn't heard that news yet...and now I'm sitting here with my mouth wide open and my heart with a Mega Man-shaped hole in it. That sucks so hard.
I haven't even played a Mega Man game yet (shame) but I'm always sad to hear about this kind of thing :(
Oh, I'm sorry I was the one who broke the news to you, Justin. I think it happened last week -- basically, the folks at Capcom just came out of nowhere and said that the game was canceled. Oh, and then they blamed it on the lack of interest in their MML3 community site (which was set up to garner ideas from fans, etc.). A rather dumb reason, if you ask me. Anyway, a small part of me thinks (hopes) they may change their minds after they take in the reactions of their fans.
Wait, Simon -- you've *never* played a Mega Man game? What??
OK, you've got to play one ... and soon. I'd definitely start with the NES ones, if I were you. Just be aware that the first one is a bit rough -- and I mean that in many ways. Mainly, though, it is *tough*! The later ones are tough, too, but also much more enjoyable, IMO.
I've never been a fan of the Mega Man X games (on SNES), but I know a lot of people like them. The Mega Man Legends games, though, are great. Three of these games (two mainline and one spin-off) were released for the PS1 back in the day, although I think one or more may have been released for the N64 and/or Saturn, too.
Anyway, try some of them and then let me know what you think of them, OK?
Start with Mega Man 2, Simon. I can't believe you've never played one...
Ah, there you go, Simon! Justin surely knows more about this series than I do. I played most of the NES ones back in the day, but I've barely played any of them since. I do remember 2 and 3 being really nice, though.
Mega Man should be played for the music alone. Seriously.
Oh, I agree, Drew! The 8-bit Mega Man games have some great tunes -- and some great pixelated visuals, too :)
You know, Drew, I almost said that at the end of my commment, "If nothing else, play it for the music."
That's so funny...
Well, you know what they say: Great minds think alike ;)
