The Gay Gamer Giveaway™: Wizorb Edition

So, I received a rather surprising e-mail from Tribute Games' Justin Cyr last night. In said e-mail, Cyr let me know that PC and Mac versions of his company's maiden release, Wizorb, could now be bought, downloaded and played via Steam.

Cyr also sent me a promo code for this three-parts-Breakout-to-one-part-Zelda game, but since I already own both the PC and Mac versions of Wizorb (yes, I enjoyed it that much) I thought I'd give the code to someone who has yet to experience its excellence.

What do you have to do to be the someone who receives said promo code (which will allow you to download Wizorb from Steam for free)? Not much, really. Just leave a comment below between now and 9 pm PST on Sunday, March 18. On Monday morning, I'll toss all of the accumulated names into a hat and pull out the winner.

This sounds rather intriguing, wonder why I haven't heard of it yet.

I'd like to totally sign up for the draw. :D

No worries if you haven't heard of it yet, miruki -- just check out some of my earlier posts about it. I even published a Q&A with the guys who made it. (Great guys, BTW.)

Anyway, consider yourself entered into the draw. Best of luck!

This looks really cool and I've heard good things, so I'm probably going to buy it when I don't win. I've really got a lot of enjoyment out of indie games lately, so $3 isn't a big deal. Have to wait a little while before I can buy it though.

Don't say you're not going to win, chaosyoshimage -- only two people (including yourself) have thrown your hat into the ring so far!

If you don't win, though, I'd highly recommend buying it -- especially for the low-low price of $3.

I heard it was out on Steam, but didn't rush to grab it because I'm so swamped with other games right now... But yay! Thanks for holding this contest :)

You're welcome, Anne! I think you'll really enjoy this one, whether you win it or whether you buy it. It's such a charming, well-made game :)

Oh, I read your other posts about it before commenting here, that's why I'm so intrigued. :>

Will it be a literal hat or a figurative hat?

Bryan Ochalla said...

miruki: Ah, that's great! I'm glad I was able to intrigue you :)

Bryan Ochalla said...

MindOfCrazyPerson222: It's going to be a literal hat. The hubs has even agreed to be the official, er, Puller of the Winning Name. So, no bias from me! :)

oh oh! I'd like one of those ;)
the game intrigues me and brings back retro memories!

Hey there, Igor! You've been added to the list. Good luck!

Might as well put me down as well. Didn't even realise this game was out on Steam. I hope there's more XBLA Indie games coming to steam because the service isn't available in Ireland and they all seem to be reat value!

Bryan Ochalla said...

You've been added to the list, Retr0gamer!

why not

Bryan Ochalla said...

Ha! I like the way you think, warp. I'd be the same way in this situation (if I were visiting another blog, I mean).

Is this still on? I would like to win it too :D

I would LOVE to have that code!! What generous gentlemen you ALL are!

BB Guns: Yep, I'm allowing people to add their names to the list until Sunday night. So, your name is in the proverbial hat!

OK, Justin, you're in the running, too :)

Really nice arkanoid evolution in old style :)

Bryan Ochalla said...

Am: Yes, only Steam. The game is available through other services and is quite cheap, just in case you're anti-Steam.

Anyway, you've been added to the list :)

Bryan Ochalla said...

Yes, mxTOMEK, this is an evolution of Breakout/Arkanoid, to be sure!
