Better late than never

According to this NeoGAFfer, the brass at Konami have made the decision to bring their Xbox 360 cute 'em up, Otomedius G, to North America later this year. (Japanese gamers got the game in late 2008.)

As of now, the game will be named Otomedius Deluxe and will hit store shelves on Sept. 7 with a $59.99 price tag.

Although the word on the street is that the game is no Parodius (or even TwinBee), I'd probably pick it up if I had an Xbox 360--and if it were $20 cheaper.

Yeah, this is the one 360 shooter I've not yet bought. When the US version drops in price, I'll pick it up. Deathsmiles, on the other hand, I'll buy immediately even though I already have the JP version.

Yeah, this surely will drop in price -- and probably not long after it's released. Oh, and I'd definitely buy Deathsmiles if I had a 360. I'm guessing you've enjoyed the JP version?

I sure have enjoyed it -- Deathsmiles is the coolest shooter I've played in a long while. And this topic inspired me to post a review for it! Between DS and the two Raiden games, the US 360 already has some really sweet shooters. Raiden Fighter Aces is particularly great. I just hope even more get released here.
