And now it's time for a posedown

In case you're wondering: Yes, the headline above is a not-so-thinly-veiled reference to that En Vogue chestnut of yesteryear (1992), "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)."

Amazingly, the oh-so-fabulous video for the aforementioned tune has nothing on the following video (of two people going crazy while playing the "Ring Side" mini-game in the Japanese version of Rhythm Heaven Fever), in my humble opinion:

Although I've already pre-ordered my copy of this wonderfully weird looking (and sounding) Wii game, I'm quite certain that I'm going to have to bite the bullet (and drop some cash) on the Japanese version, called Minna no Rhythm Tengoku, at some point--especially since it was revealed in this recent Iwata Asks column that one of Minna no Rhythm Tengoku's mini-games (this one) won't appear in the North American release.

Rhythm Heaven Fever hits store shelves in the States today, by the way. Buy it here, if you haven't done so already.

I wish I had the cash for it

Aw, sorry, Adam :( I guess the good news is that it's only likely to get cheaper over time. I only recently bought the US version of Rhythm Heaven DS ... and it was five bucks! Hopefully you can pick up the Wii version soon.

You get your copy of Rhythm Heaven Fever yet? I went and bought it today and holy cow...I can't wipe the smile off my face. I played it for about 40 minutes and now I can't get the tambourine song out of my head...damn money...

Justin: Nope, Amazon hasn't shipped my copy yet :( Seems like that won't happen until next week, at the earliest. Harrumph. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your copy, though :)

Is the tambourine mini-game your favorite at the moment? If not, which one is?

I really like the fork & bean game...forget what it's called. The next new one I have to play is the monkey clock one, which I've been way excited about since I saw a video.

So far, though, there has only been one that I don't really love, but that's mostly because I can't get the dang timing down at all!

I am *completely* jealous of you right now, Justin! I really thought I'd be playing it by now, but nooooooooo, the folks at Amazon had to go and screw it up. Oh, well, the delay will help me get through Hakuoki (PSP) by the end of this weekend (I hope)...

Hopefully!

I think I've redeclared my favorite, though. I think Double Date is my favorite. And the monkey watch? Kill me. I can't make it work well enough to get anything better than an OK...but I just passed remix #3...which took me AT LEAST 20 tries to get through...damn badminton airplanes...

Next up? Ringside. I'm EXCITED! But...it'll have to wait until after work.

Ah, I love hearing about this kind of thing, Justin. I'm glad you're having such a great time playing through this game! Hopefully I'll join in soon enough, as I literally can't wait to play some of the mini-games I've seen in videos (Ringside especially).
