A few QR codes for fans of 'Denpa' men with triangle-shaped noggins

How's this for a niche-y blog post?

After all, not only is its focus a rather niche-y game--Genius Sonority's eShop RPG, which I previously wrote about here, here, here and here--but it focuses on a niche-y aspect of said game (that being "Denpa" men with triangle-shaped heads).

Some of you may recall that in this recent-ish post about the game, I mentioned that I wasn't a fan of "Denpa" men with noggins shaped in such a fashion. Well, I've had a change of heart in that regard, and now I actually like the little buggers quite a bit.

As such, here are my current favorites. A few were collected via others' QR codes, I have to admit, but the majority were caught by myself.

This guy's name is Casen. His antenna allows him to call on the power of "Rising Flames." (Oh, and I originally added him to my collection using someone else's QR code.)

And this guy's name is Jeremiah. Isn't he cute? I love his spectacles. Anyway, his antenna eventually evolves to "Ice Missile."

I believe this fellow's name is Aditya, but it may be Aditva instead. Anyway, his antenna allows him to cast "Revive" on fallen "Denpa" men.

I don't often use "Great Wall," but I keep ol' Terrell here around because he's just too cute.

Corey sports a rather fabulous antenna that allows him to use "Supernova," which is one of my favorite skills in THE "DENPA" MEN.

Joaquin's antenna (above) is pretty fabulous, too, I might add. It's not just attractive, though; it's also useful, thanks to its ability to cast "Fire Wall."

Although Jayden (above) lacks an antenna, he makes up for it in looks. Well, at least in my opinion. Of course, I'm a sucker for a nice mustache.

Nathan may not be the looker that Jayden is, but he's still pretty cool. I especially like his green goggles. Also, given his height I'm willing to bet he grows to be quite a tank in battle.

I usually avoid capturing antenna-less "Denpa" men these days, but I couldn't help but grab Nestor here because of his curly blond hair. I also like his expression, which is similar to one that crosses my face whenever I contemplate whether or not THE "DENPA" MEN 2 will be brought to North America next year.

So, there you go, fellow fans of "Denpa" men with triangle-shaped noggins. Should your collection contain any similarly fabulous "Denpa" men, please feel free to share their QR codes in the comments section of this post.

I'm hunting these posts down when I finally do get that QR ability...

Good! And then I expect you to share some of your QR codes, too. It's kind of depressing how few people are sharing their QR codes on line for this game. I have a feeling it's because someone posted links to one of every kind of 'Denpa' man on on GameFAQs, which is great, but there are so many more 'Denpa' men out there! Oh, well...

I wish I could use these QR-codes :(
Do you know the EU-release of Denpa Men yet?

Bryan Ochalla said...

Sorry, Melody -- haven't heard a date yet. I'm sure you'll see it splashed all over Twitter once one is announced, though. Hopefully that'll happen soon!

I hope the game comes here soon!
Will be interesting to see if the codes are universal - hopefully they will be.
Though I may try the demo first, I'm hoping the game will hook me :)

Hey there, Igor! I hope you guys get the game soon, too. And, yes, it sure would be nice if the QR codes are universal. I'm kind of thinking they won't be, though, as the Japanese QR codes don't work w/ the North American version of the game (not sure if the opposite is true, though, to tell you the truth). As for trying the demo first: Why wouldn't you? I'd certainly recommend it -- especially since the full game should cost you around $10.

If that game is $10 for you, it'll be $15 here, Nintendo likes to randomly slap on $5 for some strange reason (the Pokedex Pro is $19.50 here, as I predicted hehe)

Anyways, hopefully they'll announce a release date :)

Oh, that sucks! $20 for Pokedex Pro? God, I wonder how many people will actually pick it up at that price?

Anyway, even more reason for you to try the demo first.

And, yes, hopefully a price date will be announced for your neck of the woods soon!

Not many people will get it. It's also a little pointless as there are plenty of online resources with detailed info on pokemon. It's very disruptive if you want to use the 3DS Pokedex - you have to quite the game, start the pokedex look up whatever, quit Pokedex then load back into Pokemon. Alternatively, leave the game on, go to a PC or use a smartphone, load up the pokedex website look up the pokemon, continue playing uninterrupted. I also don't really see the point of the pokedex, except to look at pretty 3D models (which makes it an expensive 3D model viewer LOL).

That's why I want more demos. Before I spend $15 or more on a game, I want to see what it's like.

Yeah, I agree with you about the Pokedex Pro, especially in your region. I'll bet a number of Pokefanatics will pick it up, though -- no matter the price.

I actually thought the free version was pretty cool, BTW. I especially liked how you got a new one every day for quite some time. Not something I'm willing to pay for, though.

Confirming that Denpamen is coming in December (but not set yet just yet LOL). It would be safe to assume that Denpamen will probably come to Europe in December too.

Ah, that's great! Can't wait to hear what you think of the demo -- and maybe even the full game :)
